Speckle tracking, also known as strain imaging, is a "newer" modality in echocardiography. Even though we consider it new, we have more than 2 decades of experience with strain imaging, and the method is already included in recent guidelines and recommendations for diagnostic & prognostic information.

The daily routine of using strain is still far from being a reality in many settings. There are several reasons for this, including reproducibility, vendor differences, and the time investment required.

To provide a reference work for quickly finding the possible uses of strain imaging, this website was created.
