Normal values Strain imaging — RV-Strain
A specified software should be used for the evaluation!
Normal strain of the free lateral RV wall (FWS), 3 segments: -23% and more negative values
Normal strain of the free lateral RV wall & the IVS (GS), 6 segments: -20% and more negative values
Differences in vendors exist — regional analysis is more prone to error as the RV is a thinner structure compared to the LV
RV Strain
Focus on the RV (lateral position of the transducer, tilt medially)
FWS & GS are measured
FWS is preferred
TAPSE is included automatically (depending on vendor)
